At Montessori Children’s House of Lemon Grove, we offer quality Montessori Education for children 18 months to pre-kindergarten. Our inviting Montessori classroom has space availability for only 12 students. This small classroom size is cozy and home-like. The environment is wonderful for our toddlers who may be experiencing their first school setting and enables our older children to provide leadership and guidance as they continue their individualized learning. This multi-age grouping gives the classroom a heritage.

The Montessori classroom blends freedom with self-discipline. The children move about the classroom, selecting materials that interest them, and working for as long as the materials hold their interest. Carrying the work to a table or mat and then returning the work back to the shelf from which it came are part of the child’s responsibility in the classroom. Beautiful and enticing work, presented on low, open shelves, encourage the children to explore. The entire setting is tailored to meet each child’s individual developmental needs. Respect for each other, the teachers, the materials, and the environment is taught.
